The cultural association InCANTO, whose artistic director is M° Isabella Ambrosini since its foundation in 2007, is a non-party, non-profit association, with the statutory purpose of producing concerts and music performances, implementing and arranging cultural activities and producing and promoting musical CDs.
Since 2007 the association InCANTO has organized and promoted the didactic activities and musical performances of the Coro Roma Tre (official choir of Roma Tre University) and the orchestra Roma Sinfonica, formed by young professional musicians selected from Italian conservatories with ages ranging from 18 to 30 years, formations that since their foundation in 1999 have performed over 500 concerts in Italy and abroad, with an intense activity focused on the promotion of young talents.
In 2015 InCANTO produced the CD “Carmina Burana” by the Ensemble Percussionistico Roma Sinfonica and the Coro Roma Tre, recorded live at the Auditorium-Parco della Musica in the Sala Sinopoli on 23 maggio 2014. The CD is available online on iTunes and Apple Music.
Since 2014, InCANTO has implemented a project aimed at the promotion of young talented opera singers coming from Italy and abroad.
The project includes:
- a laboratory for the formation of solo or choir singers, auditions and vocal masterclasses held by some among the greatest opera singers, leading to the production of music performances and operas,
- the review “Nuove Voci della Lirica” which promotes young promises of opera with a series of concerts held in several theatres in Rome, such as tha Palladium (Roma Tre University) and the Auditorium – Parco della Musica.
Also, since 2014, the association has opened the general rehearsals of music shows performed at the Palladium to the public and organized matinées for school students.
Since 2007, the association has implemented the Project InCANTO for singers in cooperation with the Coro Roma Tre and combined lessons/concerts in cooperation with the DAMS and the chair of history of music and musical aesthetics at Roma Tre University.
