The “INCANTO ENTE DEL TERZO SETTORE” ASSOCIATION, formerly the InCANTO Cultural Association, is a non-partisan, non-profit association with the statutory purposes of producing and staging musical performances, concerts, and operas; promoting and organizing educational and cultural activities; and producing and promoting major events, festivals, reviews, films, and audiovisual products.
INCANTO ETS has been operating continuously for over 25 years, having begun its activities in 2000, formalized in 2008 as a non-profit organization with legal status, and recognized as a Third Sector Entity (ETS) since 2025. Over the course of this long journey, INCANTO has performed more than 500 concerts in Italy, mostly in Rome, and abroad, with an average of over 100 musicians—including artists and artistic staff—performing per event. The company has developed a concert program that includes full opera productions, symphonic and opera-symphonic concerts, and special projects. The company manages both logistical and artistic aspects independently, thus gaining considerable professional experience in planning and executing the activities required to stage a musical event.

- Since 2000, it has organized and promoted the teaching and concert activities of the Orchestra Roma Sinfonica – ORS and the Coro Roma Tre, composed of young professionals selected from among graduates of Italian conservatories, with a percentage of over 50% under the age of 35. Many of these professionals have impressive resumes and have participated in productions with high-profile institutions such as the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and the Accademia di Santa Cecilia. Both ensembles have been active since 1999 and, over the course of more than 25 years, have performed hundreds of concerts in Italy and abroad. They boast a substantial repertoire, not only in opera—see the productions listed above in the “complete opera productions” section—but also in symphonic, operatic, and baroque music, including important titles such as: F. Handel’s Messiah, M. A. Charpentier’s Te Deum, A. Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat, G. Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Petite Messe Solennelle, L. Van Beethoven’s Symphonies Nos. 6, 7, and 9, G. Verdi’s Requiem Mass, C. Orff’s Carmina Burana, M. Ravel’s Piano Concertos in G and D, M. de Falla’s El amor brujo, etc.
- In 2000, it began an ongoing collaboration with Roma Tre University to organize educational and concert activities with the Roma Tre Choir and the Roma Sinfonica Orchestra, organizing the following annual initiatives at the University:
Lecture-concerts in collaboration with the Roma Tre Dams (Department of Music, Arts, and Music History) and the Departments of Music History and Musical Aesthetics;
The InCANTO Project, a training workshop for singers and artists of the Roma Tre Choir. The project debuted in October 2007 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica with a vocal workshop held in the Spazio Risonanze and an opera recital in the Sala Sinopoli.
- Since 2014, it has developed the Nuove Voci della Lirica Project, aimed at promoting young opera talents worldwide.
The Project is divided into:
– workshops for the training of choir artists and solo singers,
– auditions and singing masterclasses aimed at producing performances and operas;
– the New Voices of Opera Festival, now in its 8th edition, which promotes promising young singers in collaboration with opera houses around the world, such as the Slovak National Opera in Bratislava, partner in the 2018 edition with two Opera Galas, one at the Sinopoli Hall of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and one at the Bratislava Opera House, held with Slovak singers and young Italian sopranos making their debut. The Cairo Opera House is a partner for the 5th and 6th editions of the Festival, with the production of Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana in Cairo in February 2022 and U. Giordano’s Andrea Chenier in 2023, respectively. The 7th edition of the Festival debuted on December 1, 2024, with the performance of Verdi’s Messa da Requiem on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the opera’s world premiere.
- Regarding school projects, since 2014, the Association has organized public rehearsals and school matinees for the shows it produces. In 2020, it launched the Ragazzi all’opera con Gianni Schicchi project, sponsored by the Department of Culture of the VIII Municipality, as a partner of the I.C. Piazza Sauli Institute, winner of the SIAE Per Chi Crea competition in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
- In 2015, it produced the CD “Carmina Burana” a live recording of the concert performed by the Roma Sinfonica Percussion Ensemble and the Roma Tre Choir on May 23, 2014, in the Sala Sinopoli at the Parco della Musica. The album is available online on iTunes and Apple Music.
